Team Profile:The Access Design-Build, Inc. team has considerable experience in both the design and construction industries, enabling their clients to take full advantage of the innovative design-build process. The diverse backgrounds of this design-build team and their open, real, and timely approach to the design-build process combine to form a unique design and construction service. Richard Moser, Project Director, brings the team his comprehensive experience with construction and business management gained in his previous home country of South Africa. After settling with his family in beautiful Mendocino County, Richard worked with a prominent commercial public works construction company, which benefited greatly from the addition of his strong technical and management skills. Richard has a proven talent for working through the many levels of details necessary for a construction project’s success, and gives all clients of Access Design-Build an unswerving dedication to service and honesty. Richard P. Ruff, AIA licensed architect, grew up in Switzerland and has more than thirty years experience as an architect, designing a wide variety of commercial and residential projects. As the principal and president of Ruff + Associates, Inc., he employs a full-time staff of six, with a combined total of more than 50 years experience in civil engineering, architectural design and planning services. This immense amount of experience ensures an integrated and streamlined process, from project conceptualization through construction and final project handover. Craig Matsler, Project Superintendent, is known as an outstanding contractor, spending much of his time out in the field building quality structures that will stand the test of time. He has many years of hands-on experience in residential, commercial and public works projects in Northern California as well as a year spent working in Russia. These experiences have contributed to his intimate knowledge of construction techniques, which combined with his dedication to professional project supervision, helps Access Design-Build complete projects on time and within the agreed-upon budget. Ken Vander Stoep, Project Manager, brings strong management and technical skills to the design-build team; gained through years of experience in the construction field including four years in China, building clean room facilities. A native of the Ukiah area, his observation of growth and development in the area provides valuable and educated input for clients with respect to development proposals and construction projects.
