A “Forever Home” −− what a comforting thought of a place where you feel connected, happy, and safe. Your home is your stable place, as the world changes around you.

Visit Access + Design Build at the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show inside the Minneapolis Convention Center, any time between Wednesday, February 26 – Sunday, March 1. Step inside the Idea Home, where we will show you what accessibility looks like. We believe the blending of function and beauty inside this home will inspire you. The creature comforts will be apparent, but we also hope to challenge you a bit because we want to help you envision all that is possible. https://homeandgardenshow.com/show-features/idea-home
Loon Architecture selected Access Design + Build to collaborate with them to bring you “Living in Place.” We’ve put our ideas into action in the Idea Home kitchen and owner’s bathroom; the spaces that require the most accessibility because they are the most utilized areas of your home. We’re showcasing our American-made, custom Greenfield Cabinetry, giving you a sampling of choices to make your spaces functional and beautiful, however you live. Greenfield Cabinetry recognizes the need for a greater range of function to meet your needs, combined with lasting quality and casual, timeless elegance.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find inside:

  • Pull Down Shelving - We’re highlighting pull-down shelving and automated lift up doors.

  • Safe and Accessible Kitchen Feature - We’ve raised the oven to make it easier to remove pans and included sliding oven racks for safety. And, you’ll see that easy to organize drawers and pull-out accessories make cooking intuitive.

  • Functional Lighting - We’ve lit everything up, from under cabinet lighting to lights under the toe kick. Did you know that it’s even possible to light the drawers and insides of the cabinets, so you don’t have to wonder what’s back there?

You want to live in a comfortable home without barriers, complications, or uncertainty. Access Design + Build earnestly applies Universal and Adaptive Design to free you from limitations. Together, we create a home that is functional, comfortable, and safe for aging in place, and for people with mobility challenges. Our superior team of experts is passionate about helping people live barrier free, operating as a collaborative unit, leaving nothing to chance and giving clients our best, every day.
